What Does the Download Button Do?

The Problem

In the standard process using NetSuite, users download a view of their record by clicking the Print button, represented by a printer icon. This action generates a PDF that can be saved to their computer. Notably, this PDF displays the ID of the record. However, an issue arises when users configure autogenerated numbers to have a specific length (e.g., 5 digits) starting from a designated number. While the record correctly begins with this customized number, the downloaded PDF still adheres to NetSuite's default format. It shows the sales order's ID in the title, ignoring the user-specified format.

Go to the script deployment and enter something similar into the Parameters > Name Override: type, tranid, entity, otherrefnum, custbody_tranname This can be inputted in any order to receive the desired naming convention.
